A Chant to Cultivate Inner Happiness

True happiness does not come from chasing and running after and holding onto things. It comes when you set everything and everyone - free and let the universe play its plan.

We are all looking for happiness, and mostly outside of us. Probably this next job will make us happy, probably more money and a new car will make us happy. Its strange, even as small kids we thought that happiness comes from things, something external of us. And so does the sadness. Very early on, we let all these external circumstances control our inner wellbeing. But if we rewind this tape a little more, and go back to when we were born. When we had no idea of the workings of this world, what made us happy and content? Voice of our mother, that excitement that we can take a couple of steps without falling. I still remember how happy and excited my daughter was when she just took 5 little steps from one lap to another. Thats the happiness. It spreads.. True happiness will make you and others smile even after 10 years.. thats the energy… positive energy of happiness… and it passes on.. It melts your heart and soul.  We all have felt it.

And this chant is just that. It reminds us of our true happiness, which comes from inside, taken from Sri Guru Granth Sahib. It is about that celebration within when fairies also come down and chant along with you. Thats real happiness – inner happiness.

And we understand that true happiness does not come from chasing and running after and holding onto things. It comes when you set everything and everyone – free and let the universe play its plan. Let it come to you. Your share of happiness will come to you on its own accord. You just have to be ready to embrace it. Do not miss out on those small little things.. ok..??

Now, for a few seconds, just close your eyes, take 3 deep breathes and smile. Smile out to the universe. For no reason. Here you go…

Many Blessings and a lots of Happy Energy to you. 🙂 🙂 🙂

— Lyrics with Meaning —

anand bha-i-aa mayree maa-ay satguroo mai paa-i-aa.
I am in bliss, o my mother, for I have found my True Guru.

satgur ta paa-i-aa sahj saytee man vajee-aa vaaDhaa-ee-aa.
I have found the True Guru, through perfect harmony, and in my mind are sounds of celebrations.

raag ratan parvaar paree-aa shabad gaavan aa-ee-aa.
Fairies have come to sing chants along me.

sabdo ta gaavhu haree kayraa man jinee vasaa-i-aa.
They, within whom God lives, sing the along these chants.

kahai naanak anand ho-aa satguroo mai paa-i-aa.
Says Nanak, I am in ecstasy, for I have found my True Guru.
