Glow worms found in these caves cover the ceilings of the cave to hunt for prey. And you guessed it, they use their shiny blue light to attract their prey, and those long threads you see (See the Video Below), they are sticky webs to capture their prey. And when millions of glow worms work together to create an astonishing sea of starry lights. 

Where are the best glow worm caves located in the world?

One of the best glow worm caves are located in New Zealand. Especially the Waitomo Glowworm Cave, which is one of the most spectacular in the world.

But if you are in America, you can visit Dismals Canyon to get closer to this natural miracle.

What is the best time to see the glow worms?

The best time of the year in New Zealand to visit these glow worm caves is from December to March. And contrary to what many of us think, the best time to visit these caves is from 10AM to 4PM.
