Goddess Lakshmi represents Wealth, Abundance, Prosperity and Beauty. In Sanskrit Language, meaning of the word Lakshmi has emerged from the word Laksya which means Aim or Goal. Thus Lakshmi Mantra is recited to know our goal in life and it also helps us with the means to fructify that goal. Lakshmi mantra is universally known as Money Mantra or Wealth Mantra, but one should remember that by Chanting this mantra you wont automatically become rich. Thats not what this mantra does. What it does is bring clarity in our minds, about our goals in life, and sets up the stage to bring these goals to reality. Thus Lakshmi Mantra is a prayer not only to gain financial prosperity but also to give us the intelligence to enlighten our minds with understanding. And these things automatically bring abundance and prosperity in our lives.
