Today we are starting a new series, based on solfeggio frequencies. This one is called DEEP GLOW – Solfeggio Atmospheres (season one).
As with every Meditative Mind series, we try that every series has its own sonic and visual signature. This particular season, is for solfeggio frequencies.
How we created the music for Deep Glow series?
The music was created using a combination of old school recording and processing these recordings through granular synthesis. This is one of the few tracks that we have used such a granular synthesis. The beauty of this technique is that soundscape is generated purely from our own recording rather than oscillators. The recorded sound is divided in small chunks and then played back, sometimes 100s of these recorded chunks playing together to create beautiful soundscape. One of the previous recordings where we used this technique is creating soundscapes from vocals.
The deeper elements of the soundscape are created using upright bass and moog library bass. Overall processing does include some tape saturation (UAD Oxide Tape), and some stereo widening (bx_digital V3).
How we created video for Deep Glow series?
The main animation was created using Trapcode Particular and Aftereffects. That Jellyfish emerging from the sphere, happened when I was experimenting with Particular, after our previous series – Ethereal Spaces. That also used 2 dotted spheres created with Particular. But while experimenting with turbulance, and rotation settings, this one setting produced absolute beautiful Jellyfish like thing emerging from the sphere. And that’s what you see. I am still learning how to make these particles glow properly, without making them blurry. Right now there is a simple glow plugin on top of this animation. This animation was then brought inside the Premiere Pro, so that I can have this gel with the background, and then final render was done on DaVinci Resolve. There is some color correction as well as some final film grain added to the video, in DaVinci Resolve.
