1. Om So Hum
Om So Hum, is one of our very favorites. It’s simple and very beautifully regulate our breathing, along with soothing our minds. Just 5 mins chanting this mantra can eliminate headache and bring a sense of inner calm.

2. Om Mani Padme Hum
This mantra comes from Buddhism and is related to the Bodhisattva of compassion. This is one of the prime mantras that the Buddhist use and is chanted multiple times to invoke the feelings of compassion and loving.
Before chanting the mantra, understand its meaning:
- Om – The sound vibration of Om dissolves our ego and pride.
- Mani – Here, the ‘ma’ syllable takes away your jealousy and ‘ni’ dissolves our attachment to desire and passion.
- Padme – ‘Pad’ syllable removes the judgemental notions of ours and the ‘me’ dissolves our possessive behavior.
- Hum – it dissolves our attachments to hatred.
Chant this powerful mantra again and again with the pure intention to clear your soul of any negative energy.
2. Om Namah Shivaya – Mantra to Remove Negative Energies
Om Namah Shivaya mantra is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the most powerful mantra in Hinduism. Repeating this mantra over and over again leads to a transcendental mode or a state of pure concentration.
The meaning:
- Om – The vibration that represents the creation of the universe.
- Namah – It means to bow or show adoration.
- Shivaya – It means the inner self.
There is nothing more superior to the universal consciousness and again, this powerful mantra acknowledges that as a collective pool, everything as one and hence bowing to the inner self means accepting it as a part of the collective consciousness.
3. Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu – Mantra for Positive Energy and Universal Wellness
It is an ancient Sanskrit prayer which is often recited at the end of a yoga practice. The meaning is is very beautiful:
“May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.”
This prayer takes us away from our ego-self and helps radiate positive energy and love to all beings and in turn feel the positive energy in ourselves.
4. Tayata Om Bekanze
This mantra is popularly known as the Medicine Buddha mantra as it heals our pain and suffering. It eliminates the pain of death and rebirth and all our problems of daily life.
When the mind is at ease, no disease can affect the body because your body, mind, and soul align to perform at an optimal state increasing your immunity.
Repeat this very powerful mantra to reduce any suffering and pain.
5. Om Gum Ganapatayei Namah
The Sanskrit Mantra dedicated to Lord Ganesha is an important mantra to achieve concentration and remove any obstacles. It is used by yogis to aid them in their spiritual journey.
It’s meaning is very clear and is contained in the words itself – ‘salutations to the obstacle remover.’ It gives you the energy to move past perceived obstacles and represents the full willingness to do it.
6. Om Vasudhare Svaha
Also known as the Buddhist money mantra, it is a prayer to the Bodhisattva of abundance, Vasudhara. Chant this powerful mantra repeatedly to gain abundance in health, wealth or life.
The abundance here gained is not only physical in terms of wealth but also a spiritual abundance in the form of relief from suffering.
7. Gayatri mantra
The Gayatri Mantra can be dated back to the Rig Veda. It is a universal prayer that is an expression of gratitude to the Sun God and also inspires us to be grateful for the life we are living. Chant this life transforming mantra daily in the mornings as many times as you can to feel lightened in some way.
The meaning:
“O Divine mother, our hearts are filled with darkness. Please make this darkness distant from us and promote illumination within us.”
8. Ehi Vidhi Hoi Naath Hit Moraa
This is the mantra for success and to know the path to achieving success, chant this mantra daily repeatedly. Chant the powerful mantra with faith and respect for the opportunities that will come your way.
“Jehi Vidhi Hoi Naath Hit Moraa Karahu So Vegi Daas Main Toraa,” means “O Lord, I am your devotee. I don’t know what to do. So do at once whatever is good for me.”
9. Om A Ra Pa Ca Na Dhih
This powerful mantra is dedicated to the Bodhisattva Manjushri who represents wisdom. Chanting this life transforming mantra will increase your skills in learning. The more times this mantra is chanted, the more benefits the mantra will bring.
The meaning:
- A leads to the insight that the essence of all things is unproduced.
- RA leads to the insight that all things are pure and free of defilements.
- PA leads to the insight that all dharmas have been “expounded in the ultimate sense.”
- CA leads to the insight that the arising and ceasing of things cannot be apprehended because in reality there is no arising or ceasing.
- NA leads to the insight that although the names for things change the nature of things behind their names cannot be gained or lost.
- Dhih is defined as thought or wisdom.
10. Om Sarveshaam Svastir Bhavatu – Mantra Meditation for Peace & Happiness
The mantra is a peace prayer for peace and happiness in everyone’s life.
The mantra:

Sarveshaam Purnam-Bhavatu |
Sarveshaam Mangalam-Bhavatu |
